There more than just the location of the university that you need to know. It is important that you follow your passion but also look into the practicality and availability of these courses. Some top courses are: aeronautical engineering, biomedical engineering, environmental engineering, law, marine biology, theological studies, medicine, psychology and therapy, paramedical, physiotherapy and web development to name a few.
- Learn about top universities that accept IELTS and PTE scores: Top universities like MIT, Harvard, Stanford and Cambridge accept IELTS with a minimum score of 7 bands.
- Assess whether you will be able to commit yourself to the course: If you are a working professional or if you have other commitments, then it can get difficult for you to concentrate on both the boats you wish to sail on. Often this will prove to be disastrous. So plan your time and dedicate it to learning a course accordingly.
- Analyze the course content: The name of course may be attractive, many of your peers may be opting for that one course but these reasons are not enough for you to pursue them too. Analyze your course curriculum, make sure it has everything you want to learn. Do not take up courses that may be of no interest or use to you.
- Calculate employment rate: If you have no prior job experience and are yet to finish your degree then analyze the market. Check the needs and requirements, economic benefits and where you will be in five years’ time if you take up a particular course. Make sure you chose programmes that provide employment. Fancy degrees that only boost your ego are of no use.
- Finance: You must always consider your financial aid and situation before you chose a course. You cannot dive into expensive courses that may or may not be suitable for you.
