How to get admission for MBBS Abroad?

Entry Requirements:

1. NEET: The MCI mandates that all Indian students must qualify NEET to study medicine in India or abroad. Once you qualify, your results are valid for a period of 3 years, during which time you can seek admission in any university in Eastern Europe.
2. Minimum marks in 12^th Boards: to study medicine, 11^th and 12^th grade schooling in Physics, Chemistry and Biology stream or PCB is mandatory, with a minimum score of 50-60% in the final board exam, depending on the country.
3. Language requirements: there are NO minimum language requirements for education in Eastern Europe. You will not need IELTS or TOEFL to qualify for admission (the only exception being Georgia).
4. Entrance exam: there is no additional entrance examination required for admission.

Application and Admission

The application process for admission to MBBS abroad takes place on a first-come first-serve basis.

• Step 1: fill the application form and submit all important documents (including scanned and self-attested 10^th and 12^th std marks cards, NEET certificate, birth certificate, valid passport, migration certificate, guardians’ bank statement, medical certificate, passport size photos)
• Step 2: receive the offer letter from the university and pay the first year’s tuition fee
• Step 3: apply with relevant documents for the Student Visa. Student Visas are prioritised, so you will not have to wait long.
• Step 4: get ready to fly to university!

Common Concerns about doing MBBS Abroad

Will there be a language barrier?

The academic programs are delivered in English. There is no compulsion to learn Russian, Georgian or any other local language to study abroad.

Furthermore, especially in the big cities where the universities are located, the locals understand and speak English. Students do not face problems in essential communication with the locals, who are always accommodating.

However, learning a few basic phrases in the local language like “Please” and “Thank you” is always recommended!

Will I be able to practice in India with MBBS from abroad?

With an MBBS from abroad, you will be eligible to answer the FMGE exam, as well as the NEXT exam which will replace FMGE in the next few years. NEXT is the competitive exam that all medical graduates must answer to practice in India.

You may have heard about the low pass rate of foreign graduates in FMGE in the last few years. This is because, prior to 2019, a lot of students who did not pass NEET would opt to study in these countries, bringing the overall quality of foreign graduates down.

Now only smart students who are able to pass NEET are permitted to go abroad. The quality of medical graduates will automatically be high, and they will be in a competitive position with their colleagues in India to pass the NEXT exam and get their license to practice.
