Strategies to Improve English Pronunciation

Listen to English
The best way to improve English pronunciation is to listen to English being spoken. Good movies, TV series, news channels, podcasts, and any other platform is a good way to do this. The more you listen, the more your English pronunciation will improve – time and dedication is the key.

Speak in English
When you practice speaking in English, you get used to shaping your mouth and producing the necessary sounds to pronounce words correctly. Better still, speak with peers or teachers who are fluent in English – allow them to point out your mistakes, and learn from them!

Check and Note Phonetically
If in doubt about the pronunciation of words, look it up – you can check online, and find YouTube videos that tell you how to pronounce almost every word!
Once you find out, note down the word and its pronunciation phonetically – that is, how it sounds. For example:
