About the scholarship
In order to further its highly valuable ties to India, UQ has introduced the India Global Leaders Scholarship for high-achieving Indian students to further their studies under the faculties of Business and Economics, and Law. The scholarship award will range from 5000-20000 AUD, and its award will be based on academic excellence of the applicant.
What do you get out of it?
The selected students will join an elite UQ Global Leaders community of high achievers, while developing top-notch skills to up their employability through priority access to various programmes, as well as exclusive invitations to ‘Invite only’ seminars, presentations and other events. Students will build important networks that will serve them well in their careers long after they graduate, as members of the Global Leaders scholarship alumni.
Key facts:
- Prior to application for the scholarship, the student must apply to a chosen degree programme. The deadlines for application submission are 30 November for Semester 1 and 30 April for Semester 2, remaining the same every year.
- Eligibility: The applicant must be a citizen residing in India, who is not already undertaking studies in Australia, and who has successfully received an offer to study in the target undergraduate or postgraduate programmes at UQ, following the application.
- The scholarship amount will cover the tuition fee of the first semester of study. The other benefits associated with the scholarship will continue throughout the years of study.
Alongside the offer letter, the applicant must submit:
- A CV/Resume
- A Letter of Recommendation from a teacher or employer
- A Personal Statement, covering the reasons for studying the chosen programme at UQ, as well as the applicants’ professional goals and the efforts made towards the same till date.
