Repeat Sentence

What is the task?

You will have to listen to a recording of a sentence and then repeat the same sentence into the microphone. There will be 10-12 such tasks. The purpose of the task is to test your ability to listen, recall and repeat.

Tips and Techniques

1. The recorded sentence will be spoken with a rhythm, with pauses and voice modulation. If you are able to keep the rhythm in mind, you will be able to remember the words better as well.
2. In the time between the ending of the recording and when you have to begin speaking, repeat the sentence in your head to keep the memory of it fresh.
3. When speaking into the microphone, be clear and do not rush to finish the sentence. Try to imitate the same rhythm as the recording, so that the sentence as you speak it will be clear.  

Answer Short Question

What is the task?

You will listen to a recorded question. You will have to answer the question by speaking into the microphone. The answer required will generally be short, and even a single word or phrase may be enough. There will be 10-12 such tasks. The purpose of the task is to test your ability to comprehend a question and answer it to the point.

Tips and Techniques

1. Listen to the question carefully, keeping in mind all its elements. Make brief, one-word notes if you require.
2. Do not try to make your answer too long or complex. Ideally, your answer should be simple and clear, so that a listener completely understands how your answer is related to the question. If you try to over-complicate your answer, it might become too vague or irrelevant to the question.
3. Make use of the vocabulary you have developed, if it is related to the topic of the question.
