Located in Newfoundland, Canada, established in memory of the province’s war-dead back in 1925, today, Memorial University of Newfoundland is one of Canada’s top universities offering undergraduate and graduate programmes across a range of subjects. According to QS rankings, it is rated among the top 750 universities worldwide. Some of its best-known programmes include Management and Business Administration, and Computer Science. With a main campus in St John’s, and an additional four satellite campuses, MUN has a student population of 15000 plus, including over 3000 international students.

Entry Requirements
The entry requirement for one of MUN’s 100 graduate programmes is a qualification equivalent to a second-class Canadian Bachelor’s degree.
English Language Requirement: graduate applicants are required to clear TOEFL with a minimum score of 550 in the pBT, 213 in cBT, or 80 in iBT.

Costs and Funding
A full-time international Master’s student can expect an overall cost of study amounting to approximately 19500-20000 CAD per annum.
Scholarships: merit-based funding is available graduate students both internally and externally – such as the School of Graduate Studies fellowships ranging from 4000 to 12000 CAD per annum, or scholarships instituted by the Government of Canada.

Application timeline
International students are permitted to apply for the Fall semester alone, commencing in September, owing to the requirements of the visa procedure – the deadline for application and submission of all documents is February of the same year.
