Its work is spread across two campuses – the main campus is in Perth, the capital of Western Australia, on the banks of the Swan River and in close proximity to some of Australia’s most beautiful beaches; with the second campus in Albany, a city at the tip of the southern coast, known for the Torndirrup National Park, where one may luck out and spot a whale! 1. Entry requirements
The standard academic requirement for entry into a postgraduate programme is a Bachelor's degree from a recognised university – each programme may have a minimum required score, and certain programmes may have additional requirements such as work experience.
English language requirements: UWA accepts a number of international English tests including IELTS (Academic) – 6.5 overall with no band less than 6, PTE (Academic) – 64 overall, and TOEFL – 230 (computer-based) or 570 (paper-based) overall. Certain courses demand higher scores.
2. Costs and Funding
The annual tuition fee for Masters programmes generally averages at 40-60000 AUD, with similar fees for graduate diploma programmes, and an average of 15-18000 AUD for graduate certificate courses. Additional costs include the Student Services and Amenities Fee and the Overseas Student Health Cover.
Scholarships: UWA has a number of scholarships for international students – all applicants to a Masters by Coursework programme are automatically considered for the related Scholarship, with awards ranging from 3000-7000 AUD on merit-basis, payable toward tuition fee.
